Rahul has been the pillar of our family, working as a Senior QA Tester and supporting all of us with dignity and love. As a retired father and a homemaker mother, we depended on him not just financially but emotionally as well.
Six months ago, our lives changed forever.
Rahul was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. What began as fatigue and jaundice quickly turned into a life-threatening condition. Today, his liver is nearly 90% damaged, and his kidneys have also been affected. He struggles with severe breathlessness and weakness.
Right now, my son is in the ICU.
Doctors are doing everything they can to stabilise him. His haemoglobin has dropped to 6, and his platelet count is only 9,000. Every day, blood products and medicines are being given to keep him alive and strong enough for the surgery he desperately needs.

My son, Rahul, should be building his future, pursuing his career, and living a healthy life. Instead, he spends his days attached to monitors and fighting for survival. Yet the biggest challenge still lies ahead, the liver transplant that can save his life.
Due to his worsening health, he has already lost his job, and our family has lost its primary source of income. We have spent more than ₹8.5 lakh on his treatment so far. We have even used up our savings and borrowed wherever possible.
But, I dream of seeing my son healthy again. I dream of seeing him smile, work, and live the life he deserves. I dream of a day when our family can leave the hospital behind and return to a peaceful life.
